Summit High School has the great honor of hosting a winter showcase by the Deschutes County Ballroom Dance Club. Junior Caitlin Young, senior Matthew Trono, and sophomore Alyssa Lane can be seen in group dances and are featured in the finale.
The showcase will demonstrate several ballroom dances including the waltz, rumba, cha-cha, mambo, East Coast swing, West Coast swing, foxtrot, and tango. The show is scheduled to be 40 minutes long with individual showcases interposed with “social dances”, which are simply several couples sharing the stage together.
Tickets are $10 at the door with the show opening at 3:30 p.m. and beginning at 4 p.m.
All those who are curious about dancing, have enjoyed watching ballroom dance shows and competitions, or simply think it would be fun to watch Summit students demonstrate a unique talent should come see this performance.

There are some incredible individual dances that are definitely worth watching. Several of the dancers (unfortunately not us) are very talented and have excelled in competition. You will be amazed!
Hi SHS Eye of the Storm !
We’re currently bringing a new musical on stage – and have a song in the repertoire matching your group’s name: “Eye of the Storm”.
